PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC socket provided with a configuration that facilitates application of lever operation to an automatic machine by simplifying operation of an operating member for operating a lever member. SOLUTION: The lever member 35 is formed into a bifurcated shape, and has first/second legs 353, 354. At a first position, though the first leg 353 is protruded from a base 2 and a lid 3 so as to be operable, the second leg 354 is stored inside the lid 3. Next, when the lever member 35 reaches a second position along with the movement of the operating member 5, the first leg 353 is stored inside the lid 3, and conversely, the second leg 354 is protruded from the base 2 and the lid 3.
