<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of friction engaging device in which increase in manufacturing cost is suppressed, and an automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The support structure of friction engaging device comprises friction plates 611 and 612; a piston 613 for axially pressing and friction-engage the friction plates 611 and 612 with each other; a spring 614 having one end connected to the piston 613, which energizes the piston in the direction of releasing the friction engagement between the friction plates 611 and 612; an end plate 615 to which the other end of the spring 614 is connected, the end plate being provided on the opposite side of the piston 613 relative to the friction plates 611 and 612; a snap ring 616 for limiting axial movement of the end plate 615; and a plate 617 provided between the end plate 615 and the snap ring 616. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
