The blow-by gases coming out from a crank case (1) stay in active connection with each other, and are fed in flow channels, which are formed in a cylinder crankcase, in a cylinder block and in a cylinder head of intake system of the internal combustion engine. A separation compartment (5) is arranged in the flow process after the crank case, which is connected with a collection chamber (7) by a channel (6), by which two crossover ducts are diverted, which merges in a stepped bore .
