PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing the rotor of a rotary electric machine which can suppress the cost increase and also can suppress the performance drop by reducing the deflection from the reference of both bearings of the pole core 7 of a rotor 3. SOLUTION: The facing outer end faces 72 of a Lundell-type pole core 7 are slant to each other, and there are shaft holes 78 which pierce both the outer end faces 72. The adopted manufacturing method is equipped with an aligning process of performing three-dimensional rotation around the axis of the shaft hole 78 of the pole core 7 when press-fitting a shaft 5 into this shaft hole 78 thereby manufacturing the rotor 3, and a press-fitting process of press-fitting the shaft 5 into the shaft hole 78 of the pole core 7 after that. Furthermore, the caulking process of cutting an annular groove at the periphery of the shaft press-fitted into both the outer end faces 72 of the pole core 7 following it is also equipped with an aligning process of performing three-dimensional rotation around the shaft hole 78 of the pole core 7. The adopted manufacturing device is equipped with an aligning mechanism A. Thereby, the rotor 3 which is free of shaft deflection and secures the shaft fastening force can be manufactured easily.
