A method for manufacturing a flexible device by using laser and the flexible device are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by utilizing existing apparatuses which use glass as a material of the substrate, without changing the apparatuses. A patterned release layer is formed on a glass substrate, and then an impurity barrier layer is formed on the release layer. A transfer layer is formed on the impurity barrier layer, and then a plastic substrate is attached to the transfer layer. The glass substrate is separated from the transfer layer, to which the plastic substrate is attached, by radiating laser onto the glass substrate. The release layer is made of a material having a band gap smaller than energy corresponding to a wavelength of the laser. |
