<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish new managerial technique for accommodating replacement parts (for example, toner cartridges) among a plurality of image forming apparatuses (for example, printers). <P>SOLUTION: Serial number 22 (S/N: 12345) of the printer is registered to the printer, and the serial number (S/N:54321) of another printer is also registered in group data A24. The serial number (S/N:67890) of the printer, to which a toner cartridge is attached first, is registered in the printer serial number 76 of the attached toner cartridge (a). As a result, the printer serial number 76 does not agree with the serial number 22 or the group data A24, and the toner cartridge is in a use non-permitted state.
