PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact multistage expansible structure capable of minimizing an outer shape while ensuring high strength in expansion. SOLUTION: A multistage fluid pressure cylinder device 3 is disposed so that a tip 13 of a rod with the smallest diameter is located downward with a base part 5 provided as an integrated unit therewith, and a guide cylinder device 4 including a plurality of cylindrical members 31a-d connected between the fluid pressure cylinder device and the base part and telescopically expanding and contracting with expanding and contracting operation of each stage of the fluid pressure cylinder device is provided on the circumferential side thereof. In the guide cylinder device, an upper end portion of the cylindrical member 31a with the smallest diameter is fixed to an end cover 12, a lower end portion of the cylindrical member 31d with the largest diameter is fixed to the base part 5, and the cylindrical members 31b and c located in the middle are mutually connected so that the respective lower end portions are moved integrally in the axial direction between lower end portions of corresponding cylinder tubes 11b and c of the fluid pressure cylinder device 3.
