PYRIPYROPENE DERIVATIVES AND INSECTICIDAL COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING THEM

Pyripyropene derivatives are provided to inhibit activity of acyl CoA: cholesterol acyl transferase and in vivo sterol metabolism in insects without environmental pollution and harmful effects to human, so that the compounds are used in insecticidal composition. Pyripyropene derivatives having insecticidal effects are represented by formulae(1) to (3). An insecticidal composition comprises 0.01-95 wt.% of the pyripyropene derivatives represented by the formulae(1) to (3), and controls arthropod or nematode, especially larva of arthropod or nematode, and harmful insects having resistance against conventional insecticides.
