PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit capable of reducing a dimension in a longitudinal direction of the outdoor unit and making a coil fixing portion of a solenoid valve visible by a worker. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit comprises a compressor, a refrigerant circuit including the compressor, a plurality of solenoid valves disposed in a refrigerant tube of the refrigerant circuit, and a main body portion receiving a mounting stay on which a plurality of solenoid valve coils corresponding to the plurality of solenoid valves are mounted in such a state that adjacent height positions are different from each other. An opening portion 70 for maintenance is formed on an outer side face of the main body portion, and the mounting stay 71 is exposed from the opening portion 70. The solenoid valves and the solenoid valve coils are respectively mounted at a rear face side of the mounting stay, and the mounting stay is provided with a checking means 74 for checking mounting states of the solenoid valves and the solenoid valve coils from a front face side of the mounting stay 71.
