An electromagnetic contact device using keys is provided to release a contact state between a hook and a fixing bump by activating a release key using an electromagnetic force. An electromagnetic contact device includes a movable terminal, a stationary terminal, and an electromagnet driver. A stationary key(130) is driven by the movable terminal. A hook is formed at an end of the stationary key. A stationary unit(124) is mated with the hook of the stationary key, when the movable terminal is contacted with the stationary terminal. A release key(152) pushes the hook of the stationary key away from the stationary unit. The release key is activated by a release key driver. The release key directly pushes the hook from a side direction, so that the movable terminal is released from the stationary terminal.
