<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the reliability of the compressor by controlling the rotational speed of a DC motor so as to avoid rotational speed at which a compressor resonates. <P>SOLUTION: In a compressor controller, a rotational speed computing means 9 computes a rotational speed, compares the rotational speed of a command rotational speed with the computed rotational speed of a DC motor. A rotational speed control means 108 controls the rotational speed of the DC motor so as to be equal to the command rotational speed, and when a duty ratio output from the rotational speed control means 108 reaches 100%, a rotational speed lower than the command rotational speed is selected from set rotational speeds stored by set rotational speed storing means 111 to compare the selected rotational speed with the rotational speed computed by the rotational speed computing means 9 to control the latter so as to reach the selected rotational speed.
