DOME TYPE MONITOR CAMERA DEVICE

A dome type monitor camera device is provided to reduce a focus discrepancy due to a change in an optical path length caused by a dome cover. A dome monitor camera (1) is comprised of a monitor camera (3), a dome cover (5) for covering the monitor camera (3) and a camera control unit (25). The camera control unit (25) functions as an adjusting unit for adjusting a focus of the monitor camera (3) with the cover set on to correct the change in the optical path length caused by the dome cover (5). The camera control unit (25) adjusts the focus of the monitor camera (3) with the cover set on in accordance with cover parameters which affect the optical path length indicative of a dome cover specification and which increase or decrease the optical path length of the monitor camera (3).
