<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus capable of controlling a viewing angle without causing increase in the cost. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus is characterized by comprising: a display panel LPN for displaying an image based on an image data; a data processing part DP which outputs a 1st image data corresponding to an image to which a halftone pattern is given based on the original image data, and a 2nd image data corresponding to an image which is missing with the halftone pattern; and a viewing angle control element OD which controls the viewing angle of the display panel LPN so as to display, in the display panel, the 1st image within a 1st angular range in a 1st observing direction based on the 1st image data, so as to display the 2nd image within a 2nd angular range in a 2nd observing direction based on the 2nd image data, and so as to display the image corresponding to the original image data within a 3rd angular range in which the 1st angular range overlaps with the 2nd angular range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
