A method for preparing a silver ion-containing ceramic solid is provided to realize excellent antibacterial and sterilizing effects due to the silver ions, to allow continuous dissolution of silver ions in water by virtue of a low fracture strength, and to impart a continuous sterilizing effect to a water tank used in an air washer. A method for preparing a silver ion-containing ceramic solid comprises the steps of: (1) mixing 100 parts by weight of zeolite powder with 180-220 parts by weight of a silver solution; (2) treating the mixture at 100-300 deg.C under a pressure of 1-2 kg/cm^2 for 1-10 hours; (3) carrying out solid/liquid separation of the product of step (2) to recover silver ion-containing zeolite in a solid state, followed by drying, to obtain powder; (4) mixing 100 parts by weight of the silver ion-containing zeolite powder with 10-200 parts by weight of an inorganic binder; (5) forming the mixture of step (4) into a solid with a predetermined dimension; (6) drying the formed product in a dryer at 80-120 deg.C for 30-90 minutes; and (7) firing the product dried in step (6) at 450-550 deg.C for 10-180 minutes to obtain a final solid. Further, a diameter of the zeolite is 1-10 mum.
