The door closer has a closer piston (1) provided in effective connection with a closer shaft (4), where an auxiliary piston (5) is hydraulically coupled with the closer piston. A spring (7) is supported with the auxiliary piston at its end, and a linearly movable counter bearing (8) at its other end. A servo-motor (9) e.g. electric motor, is provided for moving the counter bearing. The closer shaft is provided with an angle sensor for determining the door position.
