<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve data recording quality on a warped optical disk in an optical disk recording device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk recording device 1 has an optical pickup 10 to emit a laser beam to an optical disk 2, a laser drive to output laser modulation signals consisting of a top pulse and multi-pulses to drive the optical pickup 10, and a controller to control them. When the optical disk 2 is warped, the controller adjusts and sets up the pulse width of the top pulse and the multi-pulses of the laser modulation signal that corresponding to the direction and the amount of warpage. Thus, since the power of the laser beam that the optical pickup 10 emits is adjusted, the power that the optical disk 2 receives can be kept constant, regardless of the amount of warpage, and the data recording quality can be improve on a warped optical disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
