<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellphone that allows purchasing or settling for electronic tickets such as railway tickets or express tickets with safety and in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: This automatic ticket vending system comprises an external reader/writer device having a database and an electronic money settlement server connected thereto, and a cellphone having the function of displaying data communicated by the external reader/writer device through an electric wave, an electronic money function part, and an IC card function part controlled by a CPU. The CPU of the IC card function part has a plurality of ports and communicates with the external reader/writer device so that data in a ticket data database connected to the external reader/writer device is sent from one port to the display screen means of the cellphone. For the money to purchase an electronic ticket selected by use of the display screen means, the electronic money stored in the memory of the IC card function part through another port of the CPU is used.
