PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitation method of sample liquid capable of agitating easily the sample liquid by an agitation mechanism having a simple constitution and a container. SOLUTION: The sample liquid is agitated by performing a process for supplying the sample liquid into a sample liquid holding part through a support port of a measuring device by using the measuring device having a prescribed constitution and a measuring device, a process for applying a voltage to the interval between a pair of electrodes, a process for measuring an electric signal from the pair of electrodes, a process for detecting that the support port is taken out from the sample liquid based on a change of the electric signal, and a process for supplying gas into the sample liquid holding part automatically through the support port based on detection, in the sample liquid holding part.
