<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is manufactured with the reduced number of masks, and whose reliability of elements is improved by using an etch stopper, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device includes stages: to provide a first substrate and a second substrate; to form a gate electrode, a gate line, a connection electrode, a common electrode, and a pixel electrode on the first substrate with a first mask step; to form a first insulating film on the first substrate; to form a primary insulating film pattern having a first contact hole, a second contact hole, a third contact hole, a first hole, and a second hole formed on the first substrate with a second mask step; to form an active pattern on the first substrate, and to form a source electrode and a drain electrode to be electrically connected to a prescribed region of the active pattern via the second contact hole and the third contact hole with a third mask step; and to stick the first substrate and the second substrate to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
