PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus which controls which to transmit when transmitting electronic mail to multiple destinations, image data with additional information corresponding to each of multiple destinations or image data without the additional information, according to a selected transmission mode. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus is equipped with: a transmission means of transmitting image data input by an image data inputting means by adding to electronic mail; an addition means of adding to the image data additional information corresponding to each of multiple destinations designated as destinations of the electronic mail; a transmission mode selection means of transmitting the image data; and a control means of controlling transmission of image data without the additional information when a first transmission mode is selected by the selection means, and image data with the additional information added by the addition means when a second transmission mode is selected, by adding to the electronic mail.
