A system for treating food waste is provided to treat automatically the food waste inputted from respective kitchens of a multiplex house, such as an apartment house and a villa, thereby facilitating the treatment of the food waste. An input unit(1) discharges food waste and water through a pipe line(2). A dewatering and crushing unit(3) is disposed at an exit of the pipe line, wherein the dewatering and crushing unit cuts, crushes, and dewaters the food waste flowing out through the pipe line. A heating and drying unit(4) is disposed at an exit of the dewatering and crushing unit, wherein the heating and drying unit dries the food waste. A sensor(5) is installed at the exit of the pipe line to sense whether the food waste is inputted into the inputting unit. A controller(6) is connected to the sensor, the dewatering and crushing unit, and the heating and drying unit. |
