PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a portion in which a red-eye phenomenon occurs in a screen more accurately.

SOLUTION: The device comprises: a first red-eye corrector 20 for automatically detecting a red eye from a subject image to be corrected, and correcting the red eye; a second red-eye corrector 20 for correcting a red eye of the subject image specified by a user; a determining section 50 for determining whether or not the subject image has been corrected by at least one of the first and second red-eye correctors; and a correction suppressor 50 for suppressing a red-eye correction operation of the first red-eye corrector if determined that the subject image has been subjected to the red-eye correction.
