PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow removing device of a simple structure with a chain for removing the snow on a roof safely and efficiently, while according to a conventional method wherein people climb up on the roof to cut and remove the snow accumulated on the roof down with a shovel, the work has, for the aged, considerable labor which is too hard and danger of slipping down whereas the removing work by a large work machine requires a highly experienced skill and a tremendous amount of money and may threaten to damage the house. SOLUTION: The snow removing device includes a chain 3 stretched almost horizontally across the roof, a chain wheel 5 meshing with the chain and a loop-like chain 8 substantially engaged with the chain wheel for cutting and removing the snow down.
