PURPOSE: A display device for recording and reproducing a video signal and an audio signal and an operating method therefor are provided to store a broadcasting signal received through a ground wave or the video signal and the audio signal received from an external AV device in an external storage medium or reproduce the broadcasting signal or the video signal and the audio signal in real time. CONSTITUTION: A video and audio signal reception processing unit(111) receives a video signal and an audio signal. If the storage of the video signal and the audio signal is requested from a user, a CPU(118) stores the video signal and the audio signal received through the video and audio signal reception processing unit in an external storage medium in real time. If the reproduction of a video signal and an audio signal is requested from the user, the CPU reproduces the video signal and the audio signal from the external storage medium. An output unit having a display unit(113) and a speaker(115) outputs the video signal and the audio signal. |
