A method and a system for providing a telephone conversation recording service are provided to record the contents of a voice call, even though a call request is received from the other party, and to selectively record a desired portion among telephone conversation with the other party. A system for providing a telephone conversation recording service comprises a terminal, a service provider server(300), and a mail server(400). The terminal, in a traffic state, transmits a recording request code through a signaling channel according to a subscriber's selection. The service provider server(300) is connected with the terminal through an intelligent network, and manages the mail account of the subscriber. If the recording request code is received, the service provider server(300) records the call contents exchanged through the terminal's traffic call, creates the testimony information of the recorded call contents and a recording file containing the call contents, and transmits them to the mail server according to the subscriber's mail account. The mail server(400), managing the recording file received from the service provider server(300), provides it if the subscriber accesses the Internet through a personal computer. |
