A shift register is provided to extend lifespan of the shift register by minimizing variation of a threshold voltage of a transistor for controlling output signals of the shift register. Plural shift registers supply a gate driving signal to gate lines. Each of the shift registers includes a first pull-up switching unit(10), an output switching unit(30), a second pull-down switching unit(40), a second pull-up switching unit(20), a third pull-down switching unit(50), and a first pull-down switching unit(60). The first pull-up switching unit includes a first transistor controlled by a start pulse signal. The output switching unit outputs a gate driving signal to a gate signal output stage(Gout(N)) using a first clock(CLK2) in response to the output of the first pull-up switching unit. The second pull-down switching unit includes two transistors connected to a P node(P). The second pull-up switching unit and third pull-down switching unit alternately supply a voltage to the two transistors. The first pull-down switching unit discharges the gate signal output stage.
