PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify the position of a sphere contacting a plurality of objects by a uniform shape operation procedure. SOLUTION: The device comprises a means for setting the central position of a sphere in contacting with a first position on a reference surface; a means for calculating a shortest distance from the central position of the sphere to a three-dimensional shape; a means for calculating a difference value between the shortest distance and the radius of the sphere; a means for determining whether the difference value is converged into a predetermined allowable value range or not; and a means for calculating, when the difference value is not converged into the allowable value range, a position in which the central position of the sphere is moved in a predetermined direction by the difference value on a second surface distant from the reference surface by the radius of the ball.
