PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video imparting apparatus which can impart a vivid video to an eye disease patient. SOLUTION: Video light obtained by transmitting parallel beams from a collimating light source 10 through a liquid crystal display panel 1 is guided to a re-diffraction optical system 40. The video light passing through the re-diffraction optical system 40 passes through a relay optical system 30 comprising a relay lens or the like and is guided to an eyepiece optical system 20'. In such constitution, the eyepiece optical system 20' comprises only a lens 21, which is provided in such a manner that its rear focus is positioned at the center of the pupil of observer's (eye disease patient's) eyeball E or a spot where cornea nebula is not caused or an artificial pupil.
