PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk recorder for recording many programs by increasing a free capacity of a recording medium while whole recorded programs are viewable. SOLUTION: The hard disk recorder for managing recording positions of contents by using a management table is configured such that the recorder erases other duplicate titles among titles recorded on a hard disk except for one title, stores correspondence between the titles to the management table, references the management table when reproduction of the erased title is instructed, and reproduces the same recorded title.
