METHOD FOR THE RECOGNITION OF EVENTS, SUITED FOR ACTIVE WATCH SECURITY

The invention concerns a method for the recognition of events for the active watch security, characterised in that it comprises, for each watched situation, the following steps: - defining in the scene of the video shot at least two different interest areas having each a symbolic value; - subdividing each of said at least two interest areas in many subareas or "blob"; - assigning to each blob a neural network, the pair blob-network being called "virtual sensor"; and in that the data provided by said virtual sensors about the watched situation are all elaborated symbolically on the basis of predefinable rules, the symbolic elaboration being suited to discriminate the arising of important events in the watched situation. The invention further concerns means and apparatuses for carrying out the method according to the invention.
