PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure, large-volume gastric band including a balloon shaped and dimensioned to circumscribe a stomach at a prescribed location and a belt extending around the balloon. SOLUTION: The gastric band 410 includes the balloon 414 shaped and dimensioned to circumscribe the stomach at the prescribed location and the belt 412 extending around the balloon.
