PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to customize a guide condition optionally in accordance with own feeling, in an information apparatus having a navigation function. SOLUTION: This information apparatus such as an on-vehicle navigation device is equipped with an operation part for performing operation input by the user, and a setting means for setting a guide distance which is a distance between a spot determined beforehand and a guide spot where guide information on the spot is to be outputted based on input to the operation part. Output of the guidance information is performed during, for example, route guide to a destination designated by the user. Namely, the guide information is outputted when a vehicle reaches the spot at the guide distance from a passing spot such as a next crossing or the like on a guide route for performing the route guidance. When the user operates the operation part and inputs an optional guide distance, the guide distance is stored in a storage means.
