<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a table cutter which has a guide part to enable a cutting blade to move in a direction approximately perpendicular to a swingable shaft of the cutting blade, is compact in the vertical direction and in a direction of a rotating shaft of the cutting blade, and can cut a workpiece by sufficiently swinging the cut part downward. <P>SOLUTION: A cut part housing 30A and a pair of pipes 50 and 51 are constructed such that when a slide support part 36 is located in the most backward position and is in contact with a first edge support member 52, the distance R1 between the swingable shaft 32 and the outer surface of the cut part housing 30A on a plane surface including a pair of the pipes 50 and 51 and parallel to the swing direction becomes larger than the distance R2 between the swingable shaft 32 and the upper end of the second edge support member 53 or the end margin most distant from the swingable shaft 32. Since the R1 and R2 have such a relation, when the cut part 30 swings and is located in the most downward position, an output shaft 33A of the rotating shaft of a motor 33 is positioned in front of the rotating shaft 31A of the cutting blade 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
