Slots in the walls of electrical components, particularly in the partition walls between individual chambers of television receiver units, are covered by resilient two-limbed slip-on clamps which are slipped on both sides over the slots concerned ; the slip-on clamps being pressed into the slots by the sealing covers of the chambers so that no gap is formed between the covers and walls of the chambers. A tuning unit 1 is provided with partition walls 3, 4, 5 having slots 14 for mounting the shaft 10 of a variable capacitor with plates 11, 12, 13. The slots 14 are covered by slip-on clamps 15, Fig. 5, made of thin metallic resilient material and having a V-shaped cross-section. Each slip-on clamp 15 is provided with cut-out portions 16 for slipping over the shaft 10 and at the upper end is made narrower so that beads 20a of a sealing cover 20 compress these narrower portions into the slots over the length l 1 of each slip-on clamp, thus ensuring that there are no gaps between the partition walls and the screening covers. The slip-on clamps are further held in position by earthing springs 21. |
