<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which can mount and connect an LED on a circuit board easily and rapidly without using soldering, can improve the working capacity, and can also improve contact between lead wires of the LED and interconnections of the circuit board than ever before. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device comprises the main body of a socket, polarized light emitting element mounted in the socket; first leg having a curved portion which generates restoring force by elastic deformation; second leg having a claw for holding the main body of the socket so as to prevent it from coming off from an insertion hole of the circuit board due to the restoring force generated by the first leg, when the main body of the socket is mounted in the insertion hole of the circuit board; and lead holder around which a lead of the light emitting element is to be looped to be brought into contact with an interconnection portion of the circuit board. When the lead holder is biased toward the circuit board by the restoring force, the lead of the light emitting element is brought into pressure contact with the interconnection and thereby the light emitting element is mounted on the circuit board. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
