A data memory device for a microprocessor system is provided to prevent a cycles used for calculating an address in a microprocessor system including a FIFO memory for fetching data from an external device when reading streaming data. The FIFO memory(142) fetches the data from the external device. A programmable device programs fetch information for fetching the data. A DMA(Direct Memory Access)(145) fetches the data from the extracting device according to a program of the programmable device. The data is the streaming data, and the fetch information is a start/end address, a data fetch access pattern, fetch start/end, and fetch flush. The programmable device uses registers(143,144) and checks a state of the data fetch. The DMA holds the data fetch until empty space is generated if the FIFO memory is full by the data while the data is fetched.
