PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmitter which can perform simultaneous transmission, without having to perform color/monochrome transformation of image data, even when the address of a color machine and the address of a monochromatic machine are mixed in the address of simultaneous transmission. SOLUTION: An address of simultaneous transmission is checked for mixture of an address for transmitting image data, by using a network (network FAX, such as IP-FAX or SIP-FAX) and an address for transmitting image data by using a public line (G3-FAX). In case of only network FAX, a document is read out in color mode, and a color image is transmitted to all addresses.
