<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load control unit for avoiding the starting of an electrical heavy load in the case that there is a possibility of the shortage of power supply may occur due to a demand beyond the generation capacity of a generator, by grasping the starting of the electrical heavy load. <P>SOLUTION: When a starting signal is inputted from any of switches such as an air-conditioning switch, an audio switch and a navigation switch, a CPU11 calculates present generated power W1 and a power increment W2 by a load receiving a starting request, then determines whether or not generated command power W with these power values added is larger than power W0 to be generated, and, if larger, prohibits equipment receiving a starting request from starting.
