The process includes passing water through admission/pre-heating and thermal shock reservoirs, and optional introduction of electrolytic solution containing free chlorine. Continuous disinfection/ protection of sanitary hot water against Legionella disease, in water production, storage and/or distribution equipment comprises a stage (B) of: (a) admitting system water to an admission tank, serving as a buffer/pre-heating tank, where the water is pre-heated in result of heat exchange with water contained in another tank provided with a heating device ensuring permanent thermal shock of the contained water at a level of up to 109 degrees C; (b) admitting pre-heated water to a thermal shock tank; (c) cooling water leaving the thermal shock tank by heat exchange with entering water on its way through heat exchanger; and (d) distributing water of the desired temperature. An Independent claim is also included for the equipment for conducting the above process, comprising, at stage B, at least one tank B1, a tank B2, a heat exchanger B3, a power production device B4, a mixing/regulation bath V, and a device for controlling the water distribution temperature T and for measuring the thermal shock temperature in the tank B2.
|
