An apparatus for filtering a burning air of an engine is provided to automatically detect clogging of a filter or calculating the use time of the filter, thereby cleaning the contaminated filter and improving the ventilation performance of the filter. An apparatus for filtering a burning air of an engine includes a filtering device installed therein. The filtering device is installed adjacent to a combustion chamber of the engine. The filtering device includes a case, a filter, and a collecting hopper. The case has a cylindrical shape. The filter is installed in the case. The collecting hopper is in communication with a lower part of the case. The case is opened at one side in order to provide a space for exchanging the filter. A cover is coupled to the open part of the case. A packing member is interposed between the case and the cover. A filter paper and a porous plate are installed to support the filter.
