METHOD FOR METAL CHARGE COMPACTING

The invention relates to the special electrometallurgy. A method for metal charge compacting involves its charging and mechanical compression in the connecting mould in portions, heating of each portion by passing current through it, at that the heating is carried out into two stages: at the first stage - to the temperature of desorption of gas and liquid-phase pollutions, at the second stage - to the temperature of hot charge deformation with the subsequent precipitation and welding thereof with the previous portion, and then the obtained billet is moved in the direction of pressing with the subsequent obtaining of compacted article of the prescribed length. The invention allows to obtain high-quality long-measuring billets with stable physical and mechanical properties.
