CALL POINT FOR ALARM SYSTEM

A call point for an alarm system wherein connections between wires leading to the call point and an electrical circuit of the call point are established by a connector assembly comprising first 16 and second 15a or 15b connector elements having plug-in engagement with one another, the first connector element 16 being connected to the wires and the second connector element 15a or 15b being connected to the electrical circuit. There may be at least two second connector elements 15a, 15b providing different configurations of the electrical circuit when connected to the first connector element 16. The electrical circuit of the call point may be in the form of a circuit board 15 and the first connector element 16 may be an edge connector element. The call point may further include a switch 37 for changing the operating characteristics of the call point by selecting one of a plurality of resistors.
