PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a sleeve in engaging therewith and to eliminate play due to clearance. SOLUTION: An optical connector is composed of a ferrule body 1 and a spring body 7, wherein three parallel grooves 5 and a groove 6 orthogonal thereto are formed in the ferrule body 1. The spring body 7 can be expanded in the diameter by a slit 11 formed in a barrel part 8, from which a front and a rear beam 9, 10 are extending forward and backward in three sets through curved parts 12, 13. In each tip end of the front and the rear beam 9, 10, there is installed a spherical projection 14, 15. The barrel part 8 is mounted on the groove 6, each beam 9, 10 are arranged on the parallel grooves.
