PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate judgement of selecting telephone to receive a phone call when receiving the phone call from a counterpart with a plurality of telephones. SOLUTION: A home gateway 26 includes a WAN interface 30, a LAN interface 34, a central control unit 58, and a LAN control unit 36. The WAN interface 30 communicates with an external telephone. The LAN interface 34 communicates with a plurality of telephones constituting an IP telephone system. The central control unit 58 generates type information corresponding to a type of information communicated with the telephone on the basis of information received by the WAN interface 30.
