<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition having excellent curability and stability and excellent adhesiveness, flexibility and curls when printed on various substrates and to provide a method for ink-jet recording and a record thereof using the ink composition. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises a compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>represent each independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent; and R<SP>5</SP>may mutually be linked to R<SP>1</SP>or R<SP>4</SP>to form a ring).
