PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the SN ratio of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal even under any multipath environments. SOLUTION: The diversity receiver comprises a signal synthesizing means for synthesizing OFDM signals received by each antenna on a time axis; and a signal composition control means for control so that the signal compositing means operates in either a maximum ratio composition diversity system, or a selection diversity system based on prescribed conditions.
