A cosmetic composition for pimple skin comprising the extract of Symphyocladia latiuscula (Harvey) Yamada is provided to specifically inhibit growth of acne-causing bacterium, Propionibacterium acnes, and reduce or avoid side effects caused by hormone, retinoic acid and benzoyl peroxide, or antibiotics, so that the cosmetic composition is stably used for a long period of time. The cosmetic composition for preventing and treating pimples in the skin comprises 0.001-20.0 wt.% of the methanol extract of Symphyocladia latiuscula (Harvey) Yamada which includes lipid and terpenoid compounds. The cosmetic composition is formulated as lotion, cream, essence, cleansing foam, cleansing water, pack, body oil, foundation, lipstick, make-up base, mascara, shampoo, rinse, hair conditioner or hair gel.
