A porous carrier, a steam reforming catalyst including the porous carrier, and a method for manufacturing a reactive mixed gas are provided to prevent the porous carrier and active metals from being sintered, and maintain a high catalytic activity and an excellent sulfur-poisoning resistance for a long time. A porous carrier for steam reforming catalyst comprises a composite oxide containing at least aluminum and magnesium. The porous carrier has a BET specific surface area of 10 to 300 m^2/g, an average pore diameter of 300Å or less, and a pore volume of 0.1 cm^3/g or more. The magnesium has a content of 22-60 wt%, calculated as Mg, based on the weight of the porous carrier. The porous carrier is a bead-shaped molded body or a sheet-shaped molded body. |
