<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head support mechanism for suppressing wind disturbance due to high-speed rotation of the magnetic disk inexpensively, simply, and reliably. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic head holding mechanism 1 has an actuator arm 4 for moving a magnetic head 2, a long tail 5 for attaching a read/write signal line along the arm 4, and a slit 6 for holding the long tail 5 along the actuator arm 4 at a specified position.
