A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a display device are provided to shorten a manufacturing time by performing a welding process between a shadow mask and a mask frame even in case that no tension is applied on the shadow mask. An apparatus for manufacturing a display device includes a vacuum chamber(70), a board support unit(10), plural mask holders(30), and a vapor supply unit(50). The board support unit is arranged inside the vacuum chamber and includes a holding unit where a board to be processed is placed. The mask holders include a pair of holders, which are relatively moved with respect to each other and hold an edge of the shadow mask, which is arranged under the board to be processed. The vapor supply unit supplies organic vapor to the board support unit. The mask holder includes a hinge coupler, which hinge-couples the holders with each other. A contact portion is formed on one side of the holder contacted with the shadow mask. |
